Details
Bakewell-White 13.7 performance cruising yacht for sale in stunning condition. This is a spectacularly designed, sleek, easily driven, blue water passage maker. The design brief was a yacht suitable for short-handed, comfortable long distance cruising big on 'lifestyle features' and a bit of fun; short-handed racing generally with between two and five crew. The hull and deck construction are very strongly built from hi-tech Kevlar, with foam sandwich interior joinery, and carbon fibre 4 spreader mast and pole, all keeps the displacement light. The keel is electrically operated with a 3 tonne bulb she can be sailed easily in the retracted position drawing only 1.7 meters giving more options with anchoring closer into those great spots too, or fully extended she draws 3 meters for ocean sailing, also to improve performance a quick and easy water ballasting system gives an additional 700kg of sea water, able to be changed from side to side in 90 seconds. The easy to handle sail plan comprises self-tacking jib on a neatly concealed furler, a Leisure-furl mainsail system, the code zero and asymmetric spinnaker are flown from a 2.4m retractable bow prod. All control lines run aft to the cockpit under deck, including main sheet and traveller, electric winches compliment the very comfortable, un-cluttered, protected cockpit with seating for 8-10 people under a huge dodger and bimini. The interior has no shortage of room anywhere, plenty of ventilation, luxurious leather seat trim, with the help of large windows in the raised saloon dinners have full visibility when seated, well-appointed double master cabin fwd, and double crew cabin aft, saloon table converts to a double berth, generous galley area, and the roomy head and shower areas are separate. An extensive re-fit 2009 and continuous professional maintenance has kept this very sleek yacht ready to sale over the horizon with ease.
